2. Overview

The A Watch Affair App ("App") is an iOS application for watch enthusiasts. Protecting your data is our highest priority. This privacy policy informs you about what data the App collects and how it is used.

In short: The App does not collect any personal data, does not use cookies, and does not employ any tracking. All personal data (watch collection, notes, settings) is stored exclusively on your device.

3. Local Data Storage

The App stores all user data (watch collection, drafts, notes, settings) exclusively on your device using Apple SwiftData. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.

4. Secure Key Storage

Optional API keys (e.g., for the editor area) are stored in the iOS Keychain — an encrypted storage provided by Apple, protected by your device's security measures.

5. Article Content (Supabase)

The App retrieves published magazine articles via Supabase. Your IP address is transmitted to Supabase's servers during this process. No personal data is sent to or stored by Supabase.

6. RSS Feeds

The App can load RSS feeds from third-party providers. When fetching these feeds, your IP address is transmitted to the respective servers. The App does not store any personal data with third-party providers.

7. Push Notifications

The App can optionally send push notifications about new articles via the Apple Push Notification Service (APNs). You can disable push notifications at any time in your iOS Settings.

8. No Analytics or Tracking

The App uses no analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. No usage statistics are collected and no data is shared with third parties.

9. Your Rights

Since the App does not collect or process personal data, most GDPR rights do not apply. All local data can be completely removed at any time by deleting the App from your device.
